Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Weldon Picture Pastor Weldon, Pastor

Pastor Weldon Williams, Jr., is a native of Illinois.  Born in the river town of Quincy, he spent his entire childhood in the Chicago metropolitan area.  Founder and Co-Pastor of Triumph Community Church, he has been in ministry since 1988, serving in Pennsylvania and Georgia.  He is a gifted teacher and preacher, believing deeply in the power of the spoken word to change people’s lives.  Believing that God has called us into intimate fellowship with Him through others, it is his vision to advance the kingdom of God through church plants, replicating ministry models that work, focusing first on the establishment of strong leaders who can then raise up the next generation of leaders  to carry on the vision (2 Timothy 2:1-2).

It is his vision to have a ministry that is not bound by the theological wrangling that separate the church today, nor has so watered down the gospel with secular thinking that it has lost its power.  But instead he sees a body of believers who hold to the essentials of the faith and who understand that this thing we have is not a religion but instead a RELATIONSHIP.  He sees the Bible as not just a tool for shaping our theology, but more so an unfolding story to reveal to our hearts the Person of God.

Pastor Williams is a graduate of Duke University (BSE, ’86) and Westminster Theological Seminary (M.Div., ’91).  Licensed and ordained by the Rev. Dr. Gerald L. Chapman, Sr. of the Zion Baptist Church of Ambler, PA, he and his wife and soul mate Shelly, are the parents of three boys, Weldon, III, Benjamin and Evan.
