Welcome to Triumph Community Church!
Nestled in the heart of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Triumph Community Church is a beacon of faith, fellowship, and community. Our story began with a small but passionate group of believers who sought to create a different kind of ministry—one that truly embodied the love and grace of Jesus Christ in tangible ways.

Our History:

Our journey started on April 29, 1999, with the Pathways Bible Study, led and written by Pastor Weldon at the Higher Ground Christian Bookstore in Bolingbrook. Focused on guiding believers on how to walk the path less taken, this small group met faithfully every Thursday evening. Their mission was to understand and live out what it means to be a Christian in today's society.

As the group grew, they began meeting in the Williams home, discussing how to establish a ministry that was not church as usual. Their vision was to create a place where believers could come together to worship and reach out to the community, demonstrating God’s saving grace in practical ways. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, they held informational meetings at the Holiday Inn in Bolingbrook, sharing their vision and inviting others to join.

On April 2, 2000, Triumph Community Church held its first worship service at Wayne Builta Elementary School. Setting up in the school cafeteria, a small band of believers welcomed friends and family to this new ministry. Known for our creative outreach programs, we have always aimed to meet people where they are, sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through nonconventional means. Whether it's giving cash rebates to customers at gas stations or hosting concerts outside local stores, our response is always the same: “We are attempting to demonstrate the love of God in a tangible way.”

On November 23, 2008, we moved to our current location at 341 Remington Boulevard, Bolingbrook, IL. Starting with a 3,200 square foot space, we have since expanded, adding additional rooms for ministry and a fellowship hall.

Our Leadership:

Over the years, Triumph has been blessed with dedicated leaders who have shaped our church's direction and growth. On July 15, 2011, Elder John Thompson joined us as co-pastor, bringing his passion for organization and ministry. His partnership with Pastor Weldon allowed the church to thrive, even as Pastor Weldon took on a part-time role due to job relocation.

In 2014, New Beginnings Bible Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ben Curtis, joined Triumph Community Church. Together, the Pastoral Committee—Pastor Weldon, Pastor John, and Pastor Ben—re-emphasized the importance of Bible study, established a Sunday School, and recommitted to Bible basics.

Today, under the guidance of Lead Pastor Louis C. Wimbley and a committed team of leaders, Triumph Community Church continues to be a family united by our shared belief in God’s grace and our passion for serving others.
